Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to FoodieSouls.

So today the recipe which I have got for you guys is Spaghetti Pasta in Marinara Sauce (Red Sauce). Since it was a weekend and I was planning to share something with you all, I finally ended up cooking this yummy pasta. Just for a brief knowledge Spaghetti is one of the simplest recipes to be made in Italian cuisine. And to make it even easier for you all I here to share this recipe.

So without further ado, let’s get into the recipe…

Ingredients you will need: (For 4-5 person)

To boil the Pasta:

  • Spaghetti Pasta: 500 gms (I used Borges Spaghetti Durum Wheat Pasta)
  • Olive Oil: 2tbsp
  • Salt: to taste

For the Sauce:

  • Yellow Capsicum: 50 gms, thinly sliced
  • Red Capsicum: 50 gms, thinly sliced
  • Green Capsicum: 50 gms, thinly sliced
  • Baby Corns: 7-8 pcs, thinly sliced
  • Onions: 3-4 pcs, thinly chopped*
  • Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
  • Dried Oregano: 2 tbsp
  • Chilli flakes: to taste
  • Tobasco Sauce: to taste
  • Red Chilli Sauce: to taste
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black Pepper Powder: to taste
  • Pizza and Pasta Sauce: 4-5 big tbsp (I used Cremica Pizza and Pasta Sauce)**
  • Processed Cheese: for garnishing (optional)

Method:

How to boil the Pasta

  • Take a large vessel to boil the pasta
  • Fill it up with water and bring it to boil. Then add the salt and oil, once done add the spaghetti and cook it evenly
  • Keep on checking the pasta until it becomes al-dante (Italian for “to the tooth”), fully cooked but still firm to the bite. You may also cook it to a softer consistency.
  • Once done drain the pasta, but don’t throw the pasta water.

For the Sauce:

  • Take a pan and heat 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Then add the onions and cook for 2 mins, then add the garlic paste and saute for one more minute.
  • Following by this add all the veggies and give it a through mix.
  • Now, add in the spices and condiments according to your taste
  • If you find the sauce to very thick the use the reserved pasta water to make it more sauce-like consistency.
  • Cover it up until all the veggies are cooked evenly
  • Once done add the Spaghetti and coat the sauce evenly
  • Your Spaghetti pasta in Marinara Sauce is ready to be served hot with some cheese on top
  • Yummmmmyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you enjoy reading this recipe and will try this yourself. Give it a try this week and do share your views. It will keep me motivated to share some of my more amazing recipes with you guys. Note:

* For vegetables, you can include anything of your choice such as Zucchini, Mushrooms etc.

** In case you don’t want to use the ready-made Pasta sauce, you can make one at home. Simply boil 3-4 medium sized tomatoes once done peel off the skin and give it a churn in the grinder. And your home-made pasta sauce is ready.
