Chocolatey Biscuit Cake

Hey guys, so finally we entered 2017 and here I am…Wishing you all a very Happy and a Prosperous New Year 🙂 🙂

Now, the recipe which I am gonna share with you guys today will surely take away your heart and soul. Its creamy, chocolatey and a complete bliss to treat your Foodie Souls.

The idea behind this cake got me while I was day dreaming..ya you read it right. I was day dreaming about my culinary fancies and while lost in my own imaginative world I discovered this blissful recipe and the best part about this recipe is, its not baked but refrigerated. So without further ado, lets get into the recipe.

Ingredients you will need: (Serves- as per your cravings)

  • Marie Biscuit: 1 packet
  • Britannia Bourbon: 1 packet
  • Unsalted butter: 100 gms
  • Amul Fresh Cream: 150 gms
  • Dark Chocolate: 300 gms (I used Morde’s Dark Compound)
  • Almonds: 25 gms- thinly chopped
  • Walnuts: 25 gms- thinly chopped
  • Raisins: 10 gms- thinly chopped
  • Figs: 15 gms- thinly chopped
  • Dried Cranberries: 15 gms
  • Pistachio: 50 gms- for garnishing
  • A 6′ inches springform tin to refrigerate your cake

Mehtod:

  • Take a mixer grinder and crush all your biscuits into a fine powder
  • Once crushed, take a bowl and keep this aside
  • In an another bowl microwave your 200gms of dark chocolate, 50gms of cream and 100gms of butter for 1 mins, let it melt completely
  • Once your chocolate mixture is ready, keep that aside too
  • Now combine all your chopped nuts together (except the pistachio) and mix them up with the crumbed biscuit along with melted chocolate
  • Mix all the ingredients nicely and evenly
  • Now grease the springform tin with butter evenly and pour the cake mix into it, spread the mixture nicely and allow it to refrigerate for an hour
  • Meanwhile the mixture is setting, we will make the ganache
  • For ganache, mix the remaining chocolate and cream together and microwave it for 40-45 secs, once melted give it a nice stir to combine the chocolate and cream together
  • Its time to check our cake mix, bring out the tin from the refrigerator and once its hard and properly set we will pour in the ganache mixture onto it
  • Remove the tin and place the cake on a serving plate, and gradually pour in the ganache, coat the entire cake evenly through the sides as well and garnish it with chopped pistachio
  • Allow it refrigerate for more 30 mins and Voila,we are done
  • Cut the slice as per your choice and relish this chocolatey treat 🙂 🙂
